New England Confectionary Company Headquarters is built.

1902

Built by the Boston Wharf Company, the yellow brick building is located at 253 Summer Street. It is reputed to be the largest confectionary plant in the U.S. up to this time. The company moves to Cambridge in 1928 [1927-BLC] and to Revere in 2003. The building’s subsequent occupants include Partners Neighborhood Health Plan and Amazon.
